The above picture is Victoria presenting her book Six Weeks of Blenheim Summer to the Commandant of RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire (then Air Vice-Marshal Christopher James Luck), in September 2015. Her Grandfather, Alastair Panton DFC, was Commanding Officer of RAF Cranwell in the 1960’s.

Victoria has spoken at lots of festivals, including the Chalke Valley History Festival in Wiltshire (2015 and 2022). the Budleigh Salterton and Felixstowe Literary Festivals in 2018 and at the Laxfield Literary Festival in 2021.

She has spoken at many schools – including Stowmarket, Hartismere High School in Eye and Bungay High School; for several Women’s Institutes and retirement homes, and at military and aviation museums including Tangmere in Sussex and the Flixton Aviation Museum in Suffolk. She has also hosted an event for Six Weeks of Blenheim Summer at the RAF Club in Piccadilly, during which the (then) Armed Forces Minister Mark Francois MP came to speak, as did Charles Clarke DFC (former Second World War veteran who has now died) – he spoke about taking part in the ‘Long March’ of 1945.
